IAO Selects ILEB as "Eye Bank of Choice"

Dear Mr. Blanchett,

On behalf of the Indiana Academy of Opththalmology, Inc. and our membership, I am pleased to announce the Indiana Lions Eye Bank Incorporated (ILEB) as our "Eye Bank of Choice." The Indiana Lions Eye Bank was established 40 years ago on the campus of the Indiana University Medical Center. The purpose for starting ILEB was to promote quality eye care in the state of Indiana. Through the efforts and sponsorship of the Lions Club and the IU School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology thousands of Hoosiers have had their sight restored through transplantation, research, and medical education.

That is why the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology is asking every hospital in the state of Indiana to select the Indiana Lions Eye Bank as their "Eye Bank of Choice" when families are presented with the option of eye donation. Without the partnership and efforts of the Indiana Lions Eye Bank, thousands of Hoosiers would still be in darkness. Help us in our efforts to promote quality eye care in the state of Indiana by selecting the Indiana Lions Eye Bank.
