Double-click on your Hard Disk icon.
Find and double click on your Internet
folder.
Find and double-click on Internet Setup
Assistant.
Near the middle of the window, there are two buttons. Click Update.
The opening setup window is marked #1. Read the introduction and then click the right arrow.
Internet Configuration:
Choose Add Internet Configuration and
click the right arrow.
Name the Internet Configuration: For the name
of the configuration, type Spitfire Internet and click the right arrow.
Choose your modem:
Choose the correct make and model of modem.
If one does not match exactly, choose the one
closest to your make and model.
Select the proper port and select tone or pulse
dialing. Click the right arrow.
Enter your dial-up number to connect to Spitifre:
Type in the appropriate Spitfire Dial-Up
NUMBER.
For Name You Use With This Service, type
your USERNAME@SPITFIRE.NET.
For password, type your PASSWORD. Click
the right arrow.
IP Address:
For Is there an IP address for this
configuration, select No. Click the right arrow.
Domain Name Server (DNS):
The first box asks for DNS address, type
207.227.203.2.
The second box asks for Domain Name,
type spitfire.net. Click the right arrow.
E-mail user name and password:
For e-mail address, type
For e-mail password, type your PASSWORD
and click the right arrow.
E-mail account information:
For e-mail account, type your
USERNAME (do not use "@spitfire.net").
For e-mail host, type mail.spitfire.net
and click the right arrow.
Newsgroups:
Click the right arrow.
Finished:
You have completed setting up your Mac.
If you wish to connect immediately, make sure Connect
When Finished is checked.
Click Go Ahead to install your settings.
To Connect:
Double Click On Your Hard Drive, choose the Internet folder, and Double Click on
Internet Dialer.
Make sure that Via: is set to Spitfire Internet.
Click Connect. Your computer will now dial Spitfire Internet and connect to the Internet.
Open the Internet application you wish to
use.
Double-click Your Hard Drive, choose the
Internet folder, and Double-click on Internet Dialer.
